Tell me about your lone refix?

"I absolutely love the original, the melodies and sound design are amazing but it didn't really fit into my sets so well without losing a lot of energy due to the lack of driving percussion and long breakdowns. I wanted to make an edit for my sets and so sat down one afternoon when I should have been revising for exams and made it as procrastination. I wasn't even planning on sending it out but I get really good feedback from mates and am really stoked at it's response since it was played on the Keysound show."

Where are you based?

"I'm originally from Surrey but currently based in Sheffield where I co-run a night called Pretty Pretty Good with recent guests including Palms Trax, Hunee, Wen, Walton, Paleman and Alex Coulton and upcoming shows with Ploy and Midland."

Who do you roll with, musically?

"I'm part of an ever growing circle of up and coming producers where we constantly share tunes and give feedback to each other, it's really sick and motivates me to keep my work-rate high. There's too many within the group to list them all but it includes the Circular Jaw guys, Agrippa, LKY, Denham Audio, Sensei, Meta, Mort, Kinsman and loads of others."

What musical styles are you into making & DJing?

"Production-wise I'm massively into tribal-drum influenced music right now, not many people are making this sort of style in the UK bass scene but I'm really finding my groove with it at the moment. I always try and produce different styles and tempos though, the last three tunes I finished were 110, 126 and 140 respectively so I always like to keep it fresh to avoid recycling the same sounds."

"My sets always vary greatly depending on what the vibe is, but what I'm mainly into at the moment is anything coming out of the Swamp 81, Livity Sound, Keysound camps or anything on a similar vibe. Recently, I've also been playing a lot more dubs from mates within my circle as everyone is massively upping their production game at the moment!"

Where have you released music, free or otherwise?

"I've got my first EP coming out 21st March on Circular Jaw which is a 5 track EP containing collabs with Nuvaman and Agrippa. I've also got a few tracks forthcoming on compilations including Classical Trax and Eatmybeat and another EP in the works which I can't say much about yet. Plenty of stuff to come though!"
